Lane started preparing taxes in 1989. From his very first tax class he recognized this profession was something for which he had a passion.
Lane earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from SDSU in 1981 and has been enrolled to Practice before the IRS since September 1998.
After working with a large nationwide firm for 7 years, he had an opportunity to work with a company that created tax software. For 15 years, Lane programmed areas of software that addressed interest, dividends, capital gains, rentals, K-1’s, schedule A, investment interest expenses, credits and state returns. When the programming season slowed, Lane continued to prepare returns.
In 2012, Lane opened his firm in Canyon Lake. Lane has been a member of CSTC since 1997. He served as President of the Temecula Valley Chapter of CSTC 2014-2015.
